Kathy is proud to be a part of The Chicago Photo Collection, a project elevating and preserving the work of Chicago photographers.
Kathy Richland is a celebrated Chicago-based editorial and portrait photographer.
Her work has been published in Newsweek, Time, People Magazine, Chicago Reader, Chicago Magazine, and Reader’s Digest. Her photographs have been exhibited at various Chicago locations such as the LaSalle Bank, the Chicago Historical Society, the Chicago Cultural Center, Gallery 312, and the Union League Civic & Arts Foundation.
She has taught at Columbia College and published the book “The People are the News” with Grant Pick in 2008. Kathy’s Powerful Women series of middle-aged women of social prominence is featured as a part of the Midwest Photographers Project at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
She currently divides her time between Chicago and Michigan.
